Deewa awarded MITM Certificate from University of Dallas
Dear
G/Purujee, Sudhirjee …
With
a strong hope that the dire situation in the country has been eased out
gradually, I’m writing you this letter. Believe that this letter will find you
and the family more comfortable and healthy there. While talking of here, in
USA, we are just passing through one season to another i.e. from ‘Fall’ to
‘Winter’. At the time when we left Kathmandu at the end of October, the very
trusted neighboring country – India had just begun with an un-political and un-friendly
tactic like border block in the South to make us suffering of all the essential
goods and was creating shortages in the market. The border block was very
strict for importing fuel like cooking gas and petrol in special and for other
consumers’ goods, produced in India and Nepal being the main consuming
countries, in general. Whereas in US, we enjoyed the falls with all golden dry
leaves all around the trees and all over the lawn in the house. After that,
there began winter and enjoyed snow fall all over and mowing it all through
drive-way and walk-way in the house in Minnesota. In the meantime, while
contacting the friends and relatives in Kathmandu, they did not suggest us to
return home soon. Because the political misunderstanding and weak performance
of the new Government led by Maoists, no matter whether they belong to Maoist
led by Prachanda or other faction of them or the one belonging to United Maoist
Leninist (UML), now in the Government since six months last has remained in
luxurious cushion with fat salary, allowance and facilities for nothing but
seeking Modi’s blessing.
We came to Dallas, TX on 2nd Dec. of the
year, because we had to attend the ‘Graduation Ceremony, 2015’ of our daughter,
Deewa (Diya) Shrestha at the University of Dallas (UoD) on the 5th. The
weather at Dallas is as good as in Kathmandu. There is no-chilly breeze nor
snow fall like in Minnesota. Of course, the AC is put on all round the clock in
every house in USA. That was different case and that’s very much contradictory to
ours’ in Nepal.
With all colorful decorations of the Hall, out
skirts and the Dais specially with Nepal’s national flag along with other, the
valuable occasion of Graduation Ceremony of 2015 in University of Dallas (UoD) was
conducted successfully. Deewa, the only Nepali candidate in the University for
Masters Degree on Information and Technology Management (MITM) received
certificate and also bagged a Medal. She was picked up among the top 20s with
GPA of 4.0. from the 2015 group of UoD products. Prior to that, they (the top
20s) were also honored by the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS), an International Honor
Society for Collegiate Schools of Business on the pre-Graduation Ceremony Day,
4th of December in UoD’s Hall. Deewa was also awarded medal ‘Summa
Cum Laude’ , “Southwest Minnesota State University, Academic Honor 1967 “when
she completed Batchelor or under-graduate level study from Southwest Minnesota State
University (SMSU), Marshal, MN in 2010.
Turning back to our country, Nepal, some of our
friends/relatives still suggest not to return home soon. The border lock caused
not only the shortage of all essential goods but also raised the market price of
each of them badly. Black marketeers have got good opportunities to earn good
amount of black money. In-coming of fuel tanks and the gas bullets from Modi’s
border has been left out as it was on the border. Marxists gentlemen are still
singing the song of Heroism? And other are relaxing on their balconies?
Let’s hope that the situation of the country should eased
out and the condition should back to normal in the country as soon as possible.
May Lord Pasupati Nath bless us all for the purpose.
Thank you and regards,
Sincerely Yours’
