November 25th, 2006, Saturday was marked as the day of wedding ceremony of Sugam Shrestha and Erin.

Sugam, MBA, from the St. Thomas University of Minnesota, was hailed  from Dillibazar, Kathmandu, capital of a small and under developed country, Nepal in Asia. And Erin, a double graduate from Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) was hailed from plain land of Marshall, south of Minneapolis in Minnesota. The lock up of these two characters for a new conjugal life also marked as a symbolic for the unification of two different Nations, which was contradictory among themselves, being one a part of an under developed country, Nepal and another being most developed country, the United States of America. Nepal, a part of Asia, a part of one half of the Globe and another being a part of another half of the Globe. It became also a symbolic of unifying of the two halves to make the Globe a full one. Of course, the development of new technology have changed the world into a small village these days. So the ceremony marks the marriage between the two different halves of the globe, two different nations, nationalities; two different languages, different cultures, traditions and coulors.

The performance conducted in lutheran way in a well decorated hall of Southwest Minnesota State University, Marshall, Minnesota was very ritual as per their system and beautiful. About 200 plus people  were assembled in the Hall. The priest, musician, artists, pianist and many distinguished invitees of all discipline from the USA and Nepal had enjoyed the program.

The aftermath programme immediately observed in the evening was full of entertainment. After the floor was declared open ceremonially by the new couple with their dance guests could not live but dancing till late night. The gala evening lasted for three untiring hours for all.
