As I see - the Calhoun Lake

May 26th the 7th day of my stay in the United Sates of America. The day was very hot, 80 degree Fahrenheit in the room. We moved to the east of Minneapolis to see the big lake of the state, the Calhoun Lake. We ( accompanied by my wife - Sushila and son Sugam) stayed and enjoyed in the shade of a bush. Ice is finally melting away from the shore of Lake Calhoun. We took the chance to scape from the bright and hot sun.

The Calhoun Lake very big in size is the main recreational site to the local people. Lake Calhoun is part of the chain of Lakes. The people go to the site for fishing, windsurfing, swimming, sailing, canoeing, walking, jogging, biking and roller and in-line skating. In 1999, the Chain of Lakes drew over 5.5 million visitors making the Lakes the 2nd most popular visitor destination after the Mall of America.

The distance around Lake Calhoun is 3.2 miles for bicycles and skaters and 3.1 for walkers and runners. Lake Calhoun has three beaches available for public use. The Calhoun Lake is in the east of the Minnesota and requires an hour drive to reach.

They also go to the site for jogging, running, speeding up on roller blade, cycling and sun-tanning in the bank and for canoing, boating and swimming in the water. This is the main technique for them to scape from the suffocating hot of the sun and to entertain and recreation as well during the peak summer.
